The children unde rthed irection of the music supervisor, Miss Helen Pettit, have been working faithfully in an attempt to make this the best operetta ever given. The music is light and catchy, the scenic effects beautiful and the dialogue clever and the whole story is shot through with comedy. The proceeds will be used to help pay for the new scenery which has been installed in the gymnasium this year, to purchase music and for other similar purposes. This year two en tirely new sets of wings, and two back drops have been prepared which will add greatly to the ease with which the stage can be prepared, in addition to making the production more effective. Rollers for the back drops wings have been prepared by the Manual Training boys under the direction of Mr. Johnson. Miss Ry der’s Sewing Class girls have used their skill in sewing curtains. It is in tracing the reasons for this remarkable change during increasingly above Wisconsin prices during the years 1919 to 1922 is because a practical working plan has been devised whereby the product has been evolutionized as well as the method of selling it.
